Free Friday Night Concerts Return!

The free Friday Night Concerts are back, starting on May 6th! Same place as previous years, at Cesar Chavez Park at 10th and J Street, sponsored by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. The shows run from 5 PM to 9 PM.

Papa Roach Raid The Nation

Papa Roach Raid The NationLocal faves Papa Roach are on tour again. Their Raid the Nation tour storms the world this spring.  Shows with Escape the Fate, Finger Eleven, Pop Evil and more are scheduled. Find out the tour cities and dates here. It looks like Santa Rosa and Chico are the closest local shows this time out.

The Bumptet – CD Release Shows

The BumptetWho is The Bumptet? The band includes players from Izabella, Jackie Green Band, and Global Funk Council, and they are releasing their self-titled debut LP. Upcoming album release shows are as follows:

Walking Spanish CD Release Show

Local favorites Walking Spanish are having their CD release show this Friday (March 25th) at Old Ironsides, 1901 10th St. The show starts around 9:00 PM and the new album is called “Wishbones”. Prieta will open the show.

Jackie Greene At Marilyn’s And Blue Lamp

Singer-songwriter Jackie Greene returns to play a couple Sacramento venues. He’ll be at Marilyn’s on March 23rd and  The Blue Lamp on March 24th.

For the Marilyn’s gig, the show starts at 9:00 pm. The venue is located on the K Street Mall between 9th and 10th (but closer to 9th).

For the Blue Lamp gig, the doors open at 8pm and the show is at 9pm. Note: the show is for 21 & over. The Blue Lamp is located at 1400 Alhambra Blvd.
