Like they did the last couple years, Hot Italian and Jerry Perry are presenting a series of free lunchtime shows at Fremont Park, 16th & Q streets. Here’s the schedule for this year:

The Hot Lunch Concert Series is back for its third year serving Tuscan-inspired pizzas every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. from now until Sept. 1 at Fremont Park, 16th and P streets.

A brilliant collaboration of free music and lunch, which includes a pizza and drink for just $10 (including tax) from Hot Italian, located on 16th and Q streets in Midtown.

Free Friday Night Concerts Return!

The free Friday Night Concerts are back, starting on May 6th! Same place as previous years, at Cesar Chavez Park at 10th and J Street, sponsored by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. The shows run from 5 PM to 9 PM.

As we mentioned before, the annual Friday night Concerts in the Park at Cesar Chavez Park are happening again this year. The free shows will run May 7th through August 13th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In other words, they start this Friday!!

This week has Kepi Ghoulie, The Kelps, Dog Party, and more, so come out and enjoy. More info about the concerts and the complete schedule here.

Free Concerts In The Park

The schedule has been announced for the annual Friday night Concerts in the Park at Cesar Chavez Park. The free shows will run May 7th through August 13th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. From their web site:

Music addicts and happy hour junkies fill up Cesar Chavez Plaza at 10th and J streets to enjoy live music, fresh air, good food, and the famous beer garden. Admission is FREE to this all ages show!

David, Kepi, Anton To Rock At Luna’s

Saturday February 23 at Luna’s on 16th Street, check outÂ local faves David Houston, Kepi (Groovie Ghoulies), and Anton Barbeau.Â Only $6 cover, cheap! How can you not?

As Anton puts it: “It’s david’s regular last-saturday gig and he kindly added me to the bill, knowing i was looking for a pre-leaving gig. kepi will have his “and friends” band, and will maybe then play drums with me. i’m not sure if i’m bringing any other players this time, it’s gonna be what we jazzers call “loose as a feather, duck doctor.” Hmm,Â I guess that says it all. Or enough anyway.
