The free shows will run May 7th through August 13th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. From their web site:

Music addicts and happy hour junkies fill up Cesar Chavez Plaza at 10th and J streets to enjoy live music, fresh air, good food, and the famous beer garden. Admission is FREE to this all ages show!

Is this a great town or what?!! Gather round Fremont Park at 1515 Q Street on Thursdays for free music from some fine local bands and artists. Food will be available from Hot Italian also.
