The Sacramento Electronica Music Festival (SEMF) will take place later this month, January 28th-30th, at the Townhouse Lounge. The venue is located at 1517 21st Street in Sacramento, CA.

The festival will feature a variety of multi-genre electronica acts from the Sacramento area and beyond. SEMF will take place over three days in January. Performers will include acclaimed electronica artists like Tycho, The New Humans, Dusty Brown, Tha Fruitbat, Seventh Swami, Melee Beats, Sister Crayon, and many more.

LA-based all-girl punk/glam/rock band Rocket just added a show in Sacramento on Friday, October 2nd at the Townhouse. They have just finished an album (produced by Matt Squire), and they’re also fresh off an appearance on HBO’s True Blood playing a “fake” band, “The God Rockets”. The girls have played in the area (Orangevale, Marysville) with the Horrorpops, the Suicide Girls and on the Van’s Warped tour, but this is their first time in Sacramento proper. The details:

Former Sacramentans !!! (aka Chk Chk Chk) will be playing a show at the Town House Lounge this Friday, the 25th of September. Also on the bill will be Mayyors. A shout out to Clay for the update info and we also saw it on the browse-worthy SacRag site. The show is for 21+ and the cost is only $5.  Doors open 9:00 PM.
