The annual Sacramento “Sammies” music awards show is coming up, and several showcase shows have been announced to show off some of the nominees. Here is the schedule:

Old Ironsides presents local bands doing their favorite songs by the Purple Master. Will we hear Little Red Corvette? Dorothy Parker? Musicology? Let’s Go Crazy? Another Lonely Christmas? I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend? The possibilities are almost endless. What Prince song(s) would YOU want hear?

The show is 21+ and is Monday June 9 at 8:00 PM. There is a $10 cover. Bands include We Prick You, Saucer, Liani Moore, Shades Of Gray, and more.

BTW, he actually turns the big five-o on June 7th…
